This year marks an exceptional milestone for Schlötter Ireland DAC: 40 years of dedication, service, and leadership from Damian Carey, CEO of Schlötter Ireland.

He began his career in an entry-level role, supporting groundskeeping, maintenance, and product deliveries. Recognising his capability and ambition, the company supported his development by offering a trainee lab technician position while enabling him to pursue his college education. In 1985, Damian commenced full-time employment as a lab technician at Schlötter Ireland DAC. From there, he went on to hold roles in laboratory supervision and management, sales, and production management, ultimately progressing to senior leadership as operations manager before being appointed Schlötter Ireland CEO in 2022.
Over four decades, Damian has played an instrumental role in strengthening Schlötter Ireland’s capabilities, culture, and reputation. His leadership has helped guide the organisation through significant growth, technological change, and industry evolution — always with a focus on people, quality, and long-term sustainability.
